Sarah B. Manilla, Esq.
Sarah knows that, while results are important, kindness, compassion and teamwork often make the difference in ensuring that optimal results are achieved. She succeeds in life through a combination of a dynamic work ethic, a sharp mind, compassion, perseverance and a keen sense of humour, but knows that her most important attribute is her passion. She applies this to the benefit of her clients as an advisor and an advocate.
Born and raised in Toronto, after graduating from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, Sarah relocated to the border city of Windsor and obtained dual degrees – both Juris Doctorates – from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Sarah was called to the Michigan State Bar in 2009 and the Ontario Bar in 2011.
Her sense of community has now brought Sarah to Waterloo, where she has developed a practice focused on the needs of her clients. After spending four years in Thunder Bay articling and practicing law, she realized that southwestern Ontario is her home and appreciates the collegial and dynamic environment that Waterloo Region has to offer.
When she is not at work, Sarah can often be found at the gym, enjoying one of her other passions – physical fitness and weight training. As a frustrated, yet loyal, Miami Dolphins fan, she finds the gym a great resource in preparation for, or after, a strenuous Sunday (or Monday) of football.
